'Run to the hills, run for your life!'

So, back to racing for me at the Tissington Half. This was an off road/trail half marathon set in the lower White Peaks of the Derbyshire. A point to point race that was recommended to me by fellow club member Ian - sometime last year. I entered and then completely forgot about it until the email reminder popped up in the inbox.

Even thou it was overcast with a slighty breeze, the views of the Peak District were stunning as we ran along on old railway line back towards Ashbourne. The other main attraction of this event was that it was mainly downhill -- yeah!

Yes, we had a little drizzle, yes we had the breeze, yes we had the puddles and bits of mud - but it was fun. A very enjoyable event which I am glad I did, and one which is a great alternative to the big road events in the area.
